Maven Lane is seeking dedicated Early Childhood Educator Assistants (ECEAs) to join our School Age and Supported Child Development teams. In this role, you will be responsible for guiding school-age children through their daily routines, fostering an environment that encourages intellectual, physical, social, and emotional growth.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday: 2:00 pm – 5:30 pm.
Full-day shifts: Required during Pro-D days, Spring Break, and Summer Break.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Guidance & Supervision: Supervise and assist children in daily activities, ensuring a safe, warm, and joyful experience.
Transportation: Ride the Maven Lane bus to supervise children during their commute from school to our facility.
Curriculum Development: Collaborate with the Program Facilitator and team members to create learning environments focused on emergent curriculum.
Health & Safety: Maintain awareness of medical and developmental histories; observe children for signs of ill health or emotional distress; administer first aid and medication as required.
Relationship Building: Maintain open, professional, and cooperative relationships with families to encourage program involvement.
Facility Care: Ensure the room remains clean, orderly, and conducive to learning; assist with housekeeping and equipment upkeep.
Professionalism: Adhere to the ECEBC Code of Ethics and Maven Lane policies; attend regular staff meetings and annual Society celebrations.

Qualifications

Certification: Current ECEA Certificate or Responsible Adult Certificate (required).
First Aid: Valid Emergency Child Care First Aid Certificate.
Communication: Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
Persona: A positive, proactive, and professional attitude with a flexible work ethic.
Values: A strong sense of responsibility and a commitment to inclusive childcare practices.

Part-Time School Age Educator

School Age Support Worker

Support Workers are responsible for guiding a child through after school programming. Using a variety of educational philosophies and life skills, educators will provide care in a manner that will encourage children’s intellectual, physical, social, developmental and emotional growth and support the children with care including hygiene, feeding, exercise and play.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

-This role is 2pm-4:00pm Monday to Friday with a longer 7 hour day during professional development days, spring break and summer holidays.

· Be aware of medical and developmental history of the child who requires additional support in the programs

-Willingness to be flexible and adapt to behaviors and situations

· Liaison with Educators and support child development coordinator

· Educating educators on techniques and support following ICPs to help insure childrens inclusion

· Collaborate with Program manager and team members to create a environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the physical, social and emotional development of children – with an emphasis on emergent curriculum

· Assess child development, and ensure any special requirements are accommodated.

· Liaison with developmental professionals when required.

· Oversee ongoing developmental records for the supported child, noting all developing physical, social, emotional and cognitive skills

· Maintain open, friendly and cooperative relationship with the child’s family and encourage parent involvement in the program.

· Be sensitive to individual children’s differences and needs to support staff in adjusting programming and be able to adjust programming to meet those individual needs.

· Plan, prepare and implement age appropriate, indoor/outdoor activities that adhere to emergent curriculum – and encourage curiosity, exploration, and problem solving appropriate to the development levels of the children.

· Model appropriate and positive behavior and language through daily contact with children and early childhood educators in the program

· Ensure confidentiality always of all information related to the organization, membership, and staff

· Participate in team planning sessions and work cooperatively and effectively as a team member by communicating and contributing information on a continuous basis.

· Ensure adherence to licensing and compliance requirements, as well as Maven Lane Policies and Procedures

· Maintain monthly billing, reporting and submissions

· Ensure all individual care plans are current, updated and meet licensing requirements
